Sony is likely to be one of the in-cell touch panel suppliers for the next Apple iPhone, according to DigiTimes, which cites "industry sources." The story notes that the next handset is likely to be launched in September or October. Other suppliers previously identified include LG Display, Toshiba Mobile Display and Sharp, the story notes. Sony will begin volume production of in-cell touch panels for the new iPhone at the end of May, the story added.
