Screenwriter Walter Bernstein, among the last survivors of Hollywood's anti-
communist blacklist whose Oscar-nominated script for "The Front" drew upon
his years of being unable to work under his own name, died Saturday.

LOS ANGELES (AFP) - In normal years, the Sundance Film Festival kicks off
in late January with Hollywood's award season already in full swing.
