(Update) N. Korea Fires Apparent Cruise Missiles toward Sea of Japan (52)
Seoul, April 14 (Jiji Press)--North Korea fired several projectiles
presumed to be short-range cruise missiles from Munchon, Kangwon Province,
on its eastern coast toward the Sea of Japan early Tuesday morning,
according to South Korea's military.
The latest launch could be a ploy by Pyongyang ahead of South Korea's
general election Wednesday, some observers said.

WASHINGTON: Former US President Barack Obama will endorse his vice
president, Joe Biden, for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination on
Tuesday, NBC News reported, citing an unidentified source close to Obama.
Obama's expected backing would come a day after Biden's last remaining
rival, Senator Bernie Sanders, provided his endorsement on Monday.
