Kremlin.
In April, Putin said he would quit the post and nominated Medvedev to
replace him.

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev Saturday on being elected chairman
of the ruling United Russia party.
In his congratulatory message, Hu, who is also general secretary of the
Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, said he hoped the United
Russia party could make even greater accomplishments in the cause of
