Polls have closed in Afghanistan after a mostly peaceful run-off to elect a
successor to President Hamid Karzai. Taliban militants had threatened to
launch "non-stop" attacks during the polls.
Afghanistan hailed another successful election after polls closed on
Saturday with millions of voters turning out to choose a new president.
