Five men convicted in the 1989 beating and rape of a female runner in
Central Park whose verdicts were overturned have agreed to settle a civil
rights lawsuit against New York City.
The settlement documents have been completed and are under review, said
Comptroller Scott Stringer, whose office must approve any payments of
claims against the city.
