POLICE in Oldham, Manchester, have arrested a woman on suspicion of causing
the death of a three-week-old baby.
The woman, aged 55, is currently being questioned in custody over the death
caused by 'overlaying,' a term used when a small child has been suffocated
after a sleeping person lies on top of them.
Paramedics attending the address in Lynchgate Court, Oldham, were unable to
resuscitate the baby.
