The Vatican, embroiled for months in the so-called "Vatileaks" scandal
involving the leak of secret papers, said on Friday its police had detained
a person in possession of confidential documents.

wounded eight others in what appeared to be a random shooting in a southern
Finnish town, police said Saturday, May 26.
Officers arrested the suspect outside Hyvinkaa, some five hours after he
fired several shots at people from a low rooftop just before 2 a.m.
UN observers visit Syrian 'massacre' town (24)
DAMASCUS: UN observers rushed on Saturday to a town in central Syria where
scores of civilians were reportedly massacred, including 25 children, as
the opposition renewed calls for air strikes on regime forces.
The shelling of the town of Houla by regime forces, which began at around
midday on Friday and continued until dawn on Saturday, killed more than 90
people, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.

A gunman has killed one woman and injured other eight in a shooting rampage
in Finland, the Finnish news portal hbl.fi reported on Saturday referring
to police.
The shootings occurred in the early hours in the center of Hyvinkaa, some
50 kilometers (30 miles) north of the capital, Helsinki.
